Honestly, knowing Samsung, this does not surprise me. The Galaxy phones are known for having stellar displays, and it is obvious that Samsung would add a good display to the Galaxy S23 FE, as well. Sure, it is a cheaper version with cutdown specs, but as far as the display and the camera are concerned, you are definitely looking at something that is stellar and something that is not going to fail you.
Now, coming to the release date, so far, the information we have received points towards the release date of October 4th. This means that Samsung's new Fan Edition devices are going to debut on the same date as the Pixel 8 series. However, nothing is confirmed at the moment, so I'd highly suggest that you take this with a grain of salt.
So far, I believe that the Galaxy S23 FE is a stellar offering for anyone who is looking to buy a phone that is not as expensive as the main-line models but, at the same time, is better than the Galaxy A series, and while it does look like the A54, the overall bump in specs makes it all the better.
