As sad as it might seem, the iPhone 15 Pro Max did not survive the durability test as the glass back shattered. At the same time, the Pro variant survived without any issues. Now, we have seen the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus go through the same test, and after going through the durability test, it is becoming more and more apparent that perhaps aluminum was a smarter choice than titanium despite the latter being exotic.

The durability test comes from none other than Zack from JerryRigEverything, and in a single video, he tested both the iPhone 15 and the 15 Plus to see if the larger model cracks under pressure, but both devices survived without showing any signs of structural weakness. Now, you can clearly see in the video that both the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus faired much better in the bend test. There was not a single moment in the video where you would gasp, and the phones would fly through the test without any issues that could come in the way. This certainly is a relief for anyone who is looking to get their hands on a more affordable device. The point here is that we are trying to be certain that if you are indeed buying a new phone, you are not stuck spending a lot of money.
Needless to say, this does not discount the fact that the iPhone 15 Pro series is an excellent choice for the pro-consumer, but if you are buying the phone with the intention of using it without a case, then I would highly advise against it if you want to be sure that your phone does not end up getting damaged in any way. If you still want to be a bit more careful, then I would highly suggest that you look at the standard models because they apparently offer better durability.
Titanium, at the end of the day, is an excellent material choice, but at the same time, it is softer than stainless steel and harder than aluminum. However, when you are bonding aluminum and titanium, things can often go wrong, and we have seen that in the durability test.
