If all rumors and leaks so far are correct, then we are going to see the new Galaxy S23 FE in a couple of days on October 4th. Over the past couple of months, we have seen and heard a lot about this device, and this is the first time that Samsung is going for a slightly different approach. But the point here is that if you are looking to get your hands on this upcoming phone, you should know about what it is going to offer.
The Galaxy S23 FE looks like a mid-range phone just because of the thicker bezels
Now, looking at the Galaxy S23 FE, I don't really have much to complain about because, so far, the information that we have received does point towards the fact that this is actually an excellent phone. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 still holds even after over a year, and while I am still not sure how the Exynos 2200 is going to perform, I do believe that for $599, the phone's hardware is more than solid. However, I wish I could say the same about the bezels because that is where I see the problem.

I don't even have to say, "If you look at the video closely," because the moment we look at the screen, the bezels jump at your face and make their presence known. I am not sure why Samsung decided to go with thicker bezels this time around. I am not against the concept of flat screens. As a matter of fact, I do want more phones to have it, but the Galaxy S23 FE does not have any right to have bezels that make it look like a phone from a couple of years. This could actually look worse in person, especially when you put a screen protector on it.
At the same time, I do admit that thicker bezels are not the end of the world, but it is worth noting that the Galaxy S23 FE is a phone that will start at $599, and it is from a company that is renowned for delivering cutting-edge products. Keeping all the factors in mind, there is little to no reason for Samsung to go with bezels that are this noticeable.
