It is safe to say that OnePlus has been going through some identity crisis as of late. Don't get me wrong, the company is still making great phones, but now, these phones are just like any other flagship device available in the market. You get a high price, top-of-a-line processor, multiple cameras, a big screen, and a massive display. However, it seems that OnePlus 12 could fix what has been wrong with the device.
The OnePlus 12 has a brighter screen than the Pixel 8 Pro, releasing later this year
Yesterday, we looked at the leaked camera specification of the upcoming OnePlus 12, and the latest addition was a periscope camera, a first for a OnePlus device. Today, we have more information on the upcoming flagship, including the screen, storage configuration, and more.
As you can see in the above screenshot, it appears that the new OnePlus 12 is going to feature a 6.82-inch LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 3,168 x 1,440p. The low brightness PWM dimming frequency is at 2,160 MHz. In addition to that, the display will have a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. Easily beating the likes of Pixel 8 Pro and other flagship devices.
The leak also shows how the OnePlus 12 will be available in black, white, and green. If you are looking to get the most decked-out variant, you can get the 24GB/1TB variant of the phone. As far as the rest of teh specs are concerned, we know for a fact that the new OnePlus is going to bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. You can also expect a better battery, Android 14 out of the box, the legendary Alert Slider, and hopefully a lot more from the upcoming device. If you have been looking for a flagship experience, then this will get the job done for you, and that, too, without any issues.
As far as the release date is concerned, the OnePlus 12 should follow the two release dates that the company has been going with for some time. The first one will be later this year in China, followed by another release date in the first quarter of 2024. Needless to say, you can expect a lot of information about the new phones coming forward in the coming months.
