Apple is expected to launch new iPad models today or later this week according to recent rumors. While we are expecting the company to announce the new iPad mini 7 and iPad Air 6 with upgraded chips, a leaker now claims that Apple is planning to announce the new 11th-generation iPad on Tuesday, It was initially believed that Apple will debut the M3 chip in the last quarter of 2023 alongside the new MacBook Air models. However, the launch was pushed to next year.
Apple to launch 11th-generation iPad alongside iPad mini 7 and iPad Air 6 later today with upgraded internals
We have recently covered that Apple is planning to upgrade four Macs with its M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips. The company could also announce new iPad Pro models next year with upgraded internals and a new design. While the launch time frame is now clear at this point, we believe that it could happen between Spring and Summer of 2024. This year, the company could have some products to show off before closing the year. Alongside the iPad mini7 and iPad Air 6, Apple will also announce the new 11th-generation iPad with upgraded internals.
The tip was shared by the leaker Majin Bu on X, suggesting that the design will be kept the same and the accessories will be "perfectly compatible." Apple updated the design of its budget iPad recently which means that it is too soon for the company to make alterations. We are expecting a faster processor, possibly the A16 Bionic chip for the low-cost iPad. However, the leaker coins that the device could have perfect support for accessories.

The low-cost 11th-generation iPad will feature a USB-C port which could have an open approach to accessories similar to the new iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro models. The company could also offer new color options for the budget iPads which is more than a welcome addition for a refresh. Other than the low-cost iPad, Apple is planning to announce a new iPad mini 7 potentially with an A17 Pro chip, and iPad Air 6 with an M2 chip.
Apple is also slated to be working on the jelly scrolling issue on the iPad mini 7 using a rotated screen assembly which could reduce the refresh issue on the LCD panels. Take note that since the company is not introducing major design changes, the forthcoming iPads could be launched via a press release rather than a full-fledged event. We will keep you guys updated on the latest, so be sure to stick around.
