It seems like we are inching closer to another Galaxy Unpacked, all thanks to a bunch of new leaks surrounding Samsung devices. We just heard about a new pair of Galaxy Buds. We already know about the existence of the Galaxy SmartTag 2, as we have seen the new tracker before. Now, we have clear pictures of the new smart tracker, and you can have a look at what the company is cooking.
Galaxy SmartTag 2 will offer both Bluetooth and UWB in the same package, with release happening in October
The Galaxy SmartTag 2 previously leaked, and today, the new smart tracker has leaked once again, showing the new tracker in both black and white colorways. Again, you really don't see anything new here, but if you are interested, you can check out the images below.
You can see that both the Galaxy SmartTag 2 are comparatively larger than their contemporaries. Not only that, but they are even larger than the predecessor. I am hoping that the large size results in a larger battery as well. The manufacturer part number for the black tag is EI-T5600BBEGEU, and for the white, you are looking at EI-T5600BWEGEU.
The sources have claimed that the new Galaxy SmartTag 2 will bring support for both Bluetooth and UWB connectivity instead of the previous smart tags that had different variants. That is no longer the case here. The longer shape will also allow you to attach the tags to various items such as your keychains, suitcases, and backpacks, and you can even get some really nice stuff from third-party manufacturers, so that is a good thing.
As expected, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 will be available to purchase as a standalone tracker, or you could go for a pack of four, depending on your requirements. The pack of four will contain two white trackers and two black ones, provided you want to have some variety in the colors of your trackers.
The new Galaxy SmartTag 2 will work with Samsung's SmartThings eco-system, and considering how they have UWB and Bluetooth, they will be a breeze to detect. The AirTag from Apple is already one of the best trackers you can pick up in the market, and I really hope Samsung's latest offering has something to offer because it's about time we start seeing something good in the shape of trackers from Samsung.
