The date corroborates with the previous rumors surrounding the Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2 since we already knew that these devices would be launching in early October, and now we have the release date.
As far as the devices, Google is going to unveil the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro along with the Pixel Watch 2. This is the same time you can expect Android 14 to start rolling out on the stable channel, so that is one more thing to look forward to. There might be some surprise announcements that the company could reveal, but so far, we only know the new phones and a smartwatch will be coming out.
I am really excited to see what the Pixel 8 series brings to the table. Aside from teh fact that the 5-year software update plan seems like a great thing, the phone will have a lot of new AI-powered features that could make it a hit for a lot of people, and I am hoping that is the case. Over the past couple of years, we have seen a lot of surrounding both phones, and if you want to catch up, you can head over here and find all the information about what Google might have in store for us.
Considering how the event is still a little over a month away, we will be keeping an eye on all the leaks that will come forward in the weeks leading up to the official unveiling. Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2 are going to be excellent for Android purists who are just looking for a no-nonsense experience, and I cannot wait to see what surprises Google has up its sleeves.
