Back in March earlier this year, we reported that Samsung could AMD's RDNA graphics to its mid-range, but after that, things were pretty hush-hush until today. Now we are hearing that AMD's RDNA could, in fact, come to mid-range Galaxy phones like the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, but the source has revealed that it is not going to do much for gaming and will be more focused on ISP (Image Signal Processor), this does come as a surprise, but I am really looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

The tip is coming from a reliable source and talks about how the future mid-range Exynos chipsets like the Exynos 1480 and 1430 will offer AMD's RDNA graphics, which is definitely a good thing, but the leak further talks about how users should keep their expectations high for gaming performance because these graphics are going to help Samsung's chipsets with imaging rather than gaming.

Now, this won't be the first time Samsung has used AMD's RDNA graphics. The infamous Exynos 2200 already has AMD graphics and even offers Raytracing, but I am pretty sure that the Exynos 1480 and 1430 are not going to feature Raytracing, and it will most likely be disabled. I am more interested in seeing how Samsung is going to leverage these graphics for the imaging. Samsung's imaging is already pretty good, even on the A series devices, so with the help of AMD's graphics, you can expect better overall performance when you are talking about videos and cameras.
We still have some time before we get to see the new generation of Samsung Galaxy A devices, and if the rumor is true, then you are going to see the future generation of Galaxy A smartphones with better cameras than before, which certainly is great for the users. Let's just hope it does not mark up the price drastically because A series is already a great value proposition, and seeing an increased price might not make sense for a lot of users who stick to these devices.
