The Galaxy S24 reveal is picking up pace. Considering how we are halfway through September, it is safe to say that we should start getting more information about the upcoming phones in the coming months, and by the end of this year, we will even have full-fledged renders showing us how the phones are going to look. So far, we have received a good chunk of information on these phones, including what chipsets they are going to use, the form factor and design choices, and even the material choices that Samsung is making. Today, all three devices have paid a visit to 3C for certification, and this reveals what charging speeds they are going to carry.
Samsung has finally updated the charging speed on the Galaxy S24 Plus, but the rest of the variants are still stuck with older speeds
While other Android companies are moving forward with their charging speeds and offering speeds that go beyond 200W, Samsung is keeping things moderate and sticking to charging speeds that we are already familiar with. Let's get started with the Galaxy S24, the base model is SM-S9210 (models in other regions will be different), and it is going to support fast charging at 25W (9V/2.7A). The Plus variant is getting a bump this time, as it will support 45W fast charging (11V/4.05A) and will have the model number SM-S9260. Last but not least, the Ultra variant will also come with 45W charging support (11V/4.05A).
The certification also reveals that the upcoming. Galaxy S24 devices will ship without a charger in the box, something that has become a norm for all the major companies and, honestly, is nothing to worry about in the first place. Sadly, that is as far as the certification reveals, but you should not really have any issues considering how most of what the new phone is going to bring is already available.
For instance, the Galaxy S24 series is going to be powered by both the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This will vary based on the region. The Ultra variant, however, will run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in all regions. The Ultra variant is also said to have a titanium frame, much like the new iPhone 15 Pro devices, and more importantly, it is said to offer a flat screen instead of the signature curved screen.
