Samsung has been a part of the smart tracker market since 2021 and has released the Galaxy SmartTag and the SmartTag Plus. Today, we are getting the chance to look at the third entrant in its portfolio with the Galaxy SmartTag2, a new and improved tracker with a lot to offer.
The Galaxy SmartTag 2 has a lot to offer, including a battery that can last up to 700 hours
Now, if you are looking to upgrade to a new smart tracker, you would be more than happy to know that Samsung has made some serious improvements to the new smart tracker. For instance, the Galaxy SmartTag2 offers up to 700 days of battery life with the power-saving mode, and you can also look at 500 days with the normal mode. In addition to that, the new smart tracker offers an IP67 rating, so you can be comfortable with your tracker going everywhere with you.
Smart trackers are usually simple, but Samsung has made sure that there are a number of changes in the new Galaxy SmartTag2. For starters, you have a new feature called "lost mode," which allows you to add contact information to a tag through a message. This means that if someone does discover an item with a tag attached to it, they can scan the tag and find the contact information. The good news is that the feature will work with all phones, including the ones that are not from Samsung.
The new Galaxy SmartTag2 will also bring an improved Compass View feature. You are also getting an upgraded SmartThings Find app, automatic syncing with a new phone, so that is another thing that you are getting with the new tracker. Sadly, the new smart tracker does not support Find My Network at the moment. This means that if you have access to a non-Samsung phone that has UWB, you will not be able to use the feature, which is a sad situation.
If you are looking to get your hands on the Galaxy SmartTag2, you can get your hands on one on October 11th, and you will have to pay just $29.99 for a single tracker. The tracker will be available in black and white.
